The OT: Privilege

May 12, 2017

The previous OT is getting pretty heavy and it is time to start a new one. First of all, I was right about James Harden. Within an hour of having arguably the worst game in his career (and honestly, I DID NOT KNOW THIS), he was seen with Ms. Jenner of K family fame, partying. It isn’t even possible that his mind wasn’t all on her from the night before, her finger stirring his brain. Witches. Actually, I might even have been doubly correct. He may well have deliberately thrown the game. He didn’t even attempt a shot for the first 18 minutes. Beyond WTF?!

And the greatest news in the NFL today is that the GOAT CQOAT (Cheating-est Quarterback Of All Time), Tom Brady, is going on the cover of Madden football. Love me some hubris.

This may be my favorite gif of the past 6 months. That is how I feel every time I get home from work.

And speaking of Zzzs, before grabbin’ some last night, I stopped by Cornie’s room to watch him play a round of Duel, and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. Four straight brilliant goals followed by a breath-taking save from an end-to-end rush. The opposition immediately forfeit and after Cornie texted “gg”, the reply was just “Wow!”. Taifu reached a new plateau in Rocket League and I know this because after the round, he didn’t even save it. Like that happens every time he plays now. Seriously, I can’t wait to watch him again. When we play doubles, I make my one pass about half way through the match, and then just tell him, with two guys between him and the goal, “Ok, just put it in.”

Lastly, I am now old enough that I can exercise the privilege of claiming that 95% of the young generation’s music is unoriginal, unendurable garbage. I watched a trailer for Home Again and at the end Just What I Needed by The Cars busted in and blew my mind, and I was reminded once again that I need to say that.

The Wizards took game six, but just by the skin of their teeth. With Russel Westbrook showing us that his usage is only bested by his selfishness, and Harden choking so hard that it is suspect…there can be no doubt. Kenny called it. The MVP should have been I.T.

That sentiment may change if Kawhi and the Spurs pull some magic in their next series. Kawhi has already been awesome.

Note: LeBron isn’t in the race. “He seems a lot faster and quicker this year from last year. With that extra hop, step, everything out there on the court. It’s incredible for somebody with that amount of mileage on him, to come back seeming faster and quicker” DeRozan. ’nuff said.

Too bad the Celtics couldn’t close it out at the Wizards’ Verizon Arena tonight. They were pretty gangsta as the entire Celtics team wore all black when they arrived at the arena. Black suits, ties, shirts, shoes, etc. They dressed in unison to attend the Wizards’ funeral. It really pissed off John Wall. 😂 Pretty damn gangsta if you ask me.

Christ Smoove called them out on not admitting their intent. 😉

LOTS of fun. I love basketball played well, with heart. That is actually more important to me than winning. I have no patience for the players who choke or don’t play to their potential.

Hey, that John Wall spin is at 0:51 in that vid, and is unbelievable. I can watch it over and over and not believe my eyes. I am very much looking forward to game 7. Rooting for The LITTLE GUY and his team. But if John Wall and the Wizards are going to bring their game, (because I know Thomas will), I don’t even mind so much if the Celtics lose.

Can’t wait for Game 7 of BOS/WSH. Would really like to see IT win it all for his sister, but I don’t think they’ll outlast the other remaining teams.

Also, Tom Brady being on the cover of Madden is just another reason for me not to buy it again this year. Bought ’17 last year out of sheer boredom, and it may have made the boredom even worse. They just aren’t the same as they used to be back in the early 2000’s. And calling it the “G.O.A.T. Edition” is a joke. The guy is an incredible player, but no one can deny that the organization he plays for is full of cheaters.

Statistically, there is no denying his and the team’s “greatness”, but if you consider that for at least one, if not a whole bunch of their titles, they knew the oppositions’ playbook, and played with deflated balls in the cold, etc.etc., those are simple HUGE advantages. A mediocre team can beat a playoff caliber team if they know ahead of time what the good team is going to do. The whole game is about running routes, using plays, and they only work consistently if they are a secret. Roger Goodell is a clown for not making those tapes public and stripping NE of their titles, and banning at least Belichick for life. Eight Men Out seemed harsh at the time, but it freed the league of that sort of corruption for decades.

Man, BG was a lot of fun. I’m hoping to get more time in that game in the near future

It was a blast watching and I will enjoy playing it even more! Can’t wait. This really needs to be released in Preview Program asap, like today.

Bwahaha! Oh man, I totally remember G.L.O.W.! It was filled with terrible characters, but some of the female wrestlers were easy on the eyes.

PSA People might want to deactivate the SMB in Windows.

People are calling it the best draft in 10+ years. Celtics first, Lakers second, and LaVar is celebrating like they have already chosen his son. Celtics don’t want him because Dad has made it clear he doesn’t want him in Boston. I will laugh very long and hard if Lakers don’t pick Lonzo and he ends up going to Phili or doing some free fall after his March Madness performance. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Absolutely no way that Lonzo is not going to be a Laker. Magic will keep his loud mouth father, LaVar, in check. Many analysts have already gone on record that Ball has a lot of potential to be a franchise player. Also, Paul George is going to be a Laker in 2019 season. He’s openly talking about it! No wonder Larry Bird was like f’k dat, I’m outta here. 😂 You know I’m not a Lakers fan, but they have a promising future two seasons from now. This draft could have been utter disaster for Magic & Pelinka because if they didn’t get the top three pick slots, they would have lost their picks to Philly for this year & 2019. Talk about dodging a bullet.

Meanwhile, the color analysts are clowning on the Spurs because it’s not even competitive with Kawhi out. I won’t tell you the score, but it’s embarrassing. Even with Kawhi healthy, the Warriors would have rolled them anyway. 😬

      Thanks for the reply, Kenny!

You know, I almost feel sorry for Lonzo having a father like that, and yet time will tell. So awesome for the support and teaching, so too bad for setting the bar higher than any son can reasonably be expected to reach. But, only he and his father know what their relationship is.

Yeah, watching some videos a while back, I noticed that Lonzo has great awareness of teammates, and intelligence in the game. Definitely a play maker. Really, the only question I have (which wasn’t answered in March Madness) is whether he can handle the pressure.

Great news about the Spurs. Lookin’ forward to the game. Thanks for saving me the score. I still have half of the Celtics game (though I know who wins) and I want to finish that one, too. Busy. Dang.

OT I got called away half way through this week’s BCS, yesterday. Still, it was easy to tear away because I find the episodes where Jimmy self-inflicts, to be very high anxiety. I will definitely watch to the end, but that might not be until Saturday.

Sea of Thieves is opening up their PC beta testing this weekend. Only to 1000 people (I don’t think I am included). I really think they missed the mark with how they have been handling their testing. I think the concept of using player feedback to build the game is great, but they are restricted and limited, that it gives the perception that they don’t have confidence in their own game to provide lasting entertainment. I honestly think they should have waited to provide beta until it could be released in early access. Also, their “PC testing” should be the same as their console tests with cross-platform play. This separation of builds needs to be done quickly.

Agreed, Zos. Thank you for your comment because it finally puts into perspective something that has been bothering me for a couple of months now. The whole “build a game with the community help” is too “self-aware”, and is paralyzing them. All of their energy is focused on community, when it should be focused on building the game and then supporting and building the community afterward.

Neither rED or I know what the heck Sea of Thieves is. 🤔 Oh well, nothing to see I guess, we’ll just keep walking.

I remember when Microsoft was making a big deal out of the multitudes of entities that Kameo could have on the screen simultaneously.
