The Weekly OT#30

You know, I think people underestimate the power of the tongue, especially in playoff destiny. I am quite confident that if Draymond Green hadn’t called LeBron a “Bitch”, the Warriors would have won the title. At the very least, there is no arguing that it was the straw that broke the camel’s back, and unleashed the armed and fully operational battle station that then came back to take the series. I am very curious to see what happens in their Christmas rematch. I wouldn’t be the least surprised if LeBron and the Cavs walk all over them. I am reminded of that because just this week, the Warriors walked all over the Clippers who haven’t taken a game from the Golden State since Doc Rivers called them “Lucky [they didn’t meet up in the finals 2015]”. Especially after his silly series against Houston, it was arrogant, foolish speculation that did nothing but serve to strengthen the Warriors. There is only one team I want to see beat the Warriors, and that is the Clippers.

In the world of video games, Funcom posted a new video of Conan Exiles – SURVIVE in the World of Conan. And Rare has announced their first Closed Alpha, though they haven’t provided a date yet. I embedded the video in the comments last week, but it is definitely worthy of multiple viewings. Also, there is another sniper movie coming soon, The Wall.

Who is Microsoft trying to sell games to with this ad? A grown man playing with his grandma, shouting at her because she can’t hear, she insulting him because he dresses poorly. With only two actors, could they possibly insult broader demographics without being the least bit funny?!

That is one of the worst ads I have ever seen. This is definitely meant for UHD Blu-Ray buyers though. And most people are really dumb, so it will probably be a successful ad.

Worse than Carl’s Jr. ads?? Eh, it got the point across. They got to say the main selling point three times in a row, and I don’t feel the insults were more than personal.

Hey, at least those Carl’s Jr. ads contain eye candy. LOL

Game Preview Program – floodgates are breaking. Ark started it all. Next was Conan:Exile (just announced – spring) and now Pit People (Jan) will also be Game Preview. The joy of this all hinges on actual savings being brought to the customers. It should be sold at a reduced price. If so, then let ‘er rip (because all these games launch broken; that is a given, may as well get it earlier and cheaper).

League of Rockets decided they wanted to hold a competition, instead of continuing with their outstanding lesson/tutorial series (at least for the time being). If they succeed in recruiting the players, great. If not, it will make the wait for their next video that much longer.

For my Jason fans out there, this Friday the 13th game that got funded through Kickstarter is looking very promising. Seems like it’d be a hilarious time playing in the middle of the night with everyone, even though I think the lobbies are limited to 4-5 people per game.
