My Noise is a great resource for different sounds, for sampling, and for going to sleep to.

There is a documentary being released this week on the development and marketing of Rocket League.  Regardless of your appreciation for the game, it should provide some insights into the multiple platform release decisions and the revolutionary cross-platform support, which, because of steam users, makes it the only game on the Xbox that isn’t in danger of losing critical community player mass (the devastating implosion of the Xbox community being Mattrick’s biggest failure for Xbox gamers and shareholders alike).

LevelCap has just put up his BF1 Multiplayer Review. It helps the review scores if the servers don’t go down, I would think. I really wanted to play this weekend, and only got to ride a horse around in an empty server. Now it is Monday morning, and I have no more chances to game for a while. ::sad face:: Hope you are enjoying your Sunday, everyone!

EDIT: I will say, however, that if the game runs, I will continue to play it. UI and load time frustrations aside, I have had only fun every time I have played it.

There’s is not a chance that I am buying Titanfall 2 now, but it is great to hear that the game is good, and that the campaign is “stellar”.

The campaign is stellar. The campaign is actually DOOM levels of good in many aspects, with better level design than Bethesda’s heralded shooter, and better use of its trademark speed. You’re not just rushing around killing things with movement speed turned up to eleven. All the environments are created to make specific use of this speed, and it results in some of the most fantastic shooter campaign segments I’ve ever played. There’s one that has you hopping around through an assembly line that I won’t soon forget. Another that has you playing with time travel in a way that was both unexpected and creative. It balances fun titan segments with Mirror’s Edge-like pilot sequences, and while perhaps the overall narrative is a bit too generic sci-fi, the “Iron Giant” storyline with your mech BT definitely lands, and creates a human element to the story despite being focused on something that isn’t human in the least.

There is also the following. And with both Microsoft/Coalition and DICE/EA trying to take the bills (not coins) out of our wallets through Premium Content AND microtransactions AFTER we have already bought their game, this is no small consideration. Still, we shall see how many maps they actually put out for free – 2K/TRS gave us….two maps.

In case you need one more reason as to why Titanfall deserves to be elevated to legend status, look no further than EA/Respawn’s commitment to free the series from the oppressive season pass/DLC model we now take for granted. There is no season pass. All future missions, maps and modes will be free. This is almost unheard of in the current market, and if players want to stop being gouged for pricey content packs, new maps, loot crates and so on, this is the sort of game that needs support, that needs to be a huge hit, to show that when publishers back down from the brink, fans respond in kind.

I’m completely surprised that TF2 is getting such rave reviews. It’s a shame that EA screwed Respawn with a terrible release window pitting it against Gears 4, its own BF1, and CoD:IW. Reports are coming in that it’s DOA due to the lack of players in the MP.

All of the review sites are gushing about the campaign. It goes to show that Zampella’s decision to exclude a SP campaign really damaged the franchise out of the gates. I’ll buy the game when it’s twenty dollars next year.

The first three minutes are very slow. I have queued it up just past that mark. I will embed Part 2 in this comment when it becomes available tomorrow.

Glad to see I am not the only one who recognized the importance of Bogut.

My first response was, “YA THINK?!”
