The Flame in the Flood

February 24, 2016

I am a sucker for certain art styles and this game looks amazing.  If anyone picks it up, let us know how it plays.

Yeah, the art style certainly is beautiful. Critics of the game keep lambasting it because of its difficulty. When the heck did gamers start feeling entitled that they should be able to coast through a game?!? Any dev that creates an engaging and challenging game is slammed with lowered scores because the reviewer simply can’t figure out how to survive or progress through it. GTFOOHWTBS

If I didn’t have so many games in my backlog along with TD in two weeks, I’d be all over this like a fat kid with cake!

BTW: The game is an XB1 console exclusive at the moment. However, it is on PC & Mac.

You don’t even have to be fat to be all over cake, and if you’ve watched Better Call Saul S2E2, you know what I am talkin’ about.

Edit: And if you haven’t, what the heck are you doing reading this. Season 2 is all the same trademark goodness of Season 1, which I am increasingly wanting to re-watch. Vince Gilligan, only twelve days older than me, is a genius: X-Files, The Lone Gunmen, Breaking Bad, and now BCS. He and David Simon are towering above all other writers/directors/producers in the industry.

BCS ep 2 had pie, not cake. Tsk, tsk, Suns! LOL Wait, weren’t we taking about TFitF? Tangents, sidetracking, & side bars…

Your right!! And the joy I have that you know enough to correct me, far outweighs that fact that I am wrong again! And addressing the OT, after mentioning it here, I had to write it up full. We can now carry this over to the next thread.

Looks awesome and made by an all star team (ex-bioshock, halo 2 etc).

OT Tried Gears last night. Boom is deadly, but still requires an understanding of mechanics to get kills. Splash damage will kill down nicely now though. Cornie was saying it was like the Gears 3 Boom. I don’t remember so I can’t say. Played Seriously TDM and had fun, though. Did you try it?
