The Division: The Underground

I am sure that Kenny has already seen this, and can probably answer my question.  Is this included with the game, or is this part of the Season’s Pass?  While predictable in design, the New York Underground infrastructure is an incredible engineering accomplishment, and for gameplay, atmospheric and compelling.  Looks good!

They just released the Skills video, too.

I believe this is premium DLC or requires season pass:

    Expansion I: Underground

This first major expansion opens up a new area to players as they explore the uncharted underworld of New York City with up to 3 friends for intense co-op action.”

      Full season pass content:

      The Division Expansion I: Underground
      The Division Expansion II: Survival
The Division Expansion III: Last Stand
Exclusive Sawed-off Shotgun, a unique sidearm customized for short-range destruction.
Full set of exclusive outfits and weapon skins
Special monthly benefits including exclusive content drops and special events.”

hopefully the exclusive paid content isn’t OP.

No, IGN just received an exclusive hands-on with just how deep the subterranean tunnels will go. No premium DLC/Season Pass content has been shown thus far according to the devs.

So what we are seeing above is part of the initial game price, not the “Expansion I: Underground”? Careless wording on parts of IGN and Massive/Ubisoft.

That is correct, Suns. Think about how stupid it would be if they showed DLC when the game proper hasn’t even been released yet. The backlash would be enormous coupled with pre-order cancellations to prove upset customers’ outrage. Then again, we are talking about Ubisoft.

Agreed on all points. This is good news, then. This has a very different feel from the streets of New York.

People were upset that the launch map was less than what was initially anticipated because the other boroughs such as Queens, Long Island, Staten Island, etc. weren’t accessible. However, there is a lot of map verticality both higher and lower in a very densely packed midtown-Manhattan to contend with. After all, only 20% was made available for the beta. The devs also confirmed that the enemy NPCs will be roaming the streets on the retail game, but that dynamic was turned off on the beta. In addition, the amount of NPC enemies was also toned down on the beta.

Both videos were great! Really looking forward to the full game next month. Has there been a confirmation on the level cap? I’ve heard 30, 80, and 100. Seeing how long it took to hit level 8 in the beta, I feel like 30 would be good for now. Maybe add in more levels with the season pass or just as free content for everyone. Hitting 100 would take ages I feel like.

OT: I got 2 codes for Homefront: The Revolution closed beta. If anyone wants the other code, feel free to let me know here or on XBL. Dont want it to go to waste!

The level cap is thirty, RoBBins. Since the alpha and beta had players start at four, maxing out to eight didn’t take very long. I’m not worried about how fast we’ll get to the level cap because the devs have already confirmed that the game’s difficulty completely changes when players reach thirty. There will be higher-level gear & weapons including higher difficulty enemies.

Thanks, Blank! I really cant wait to jump into this game and grind out levels to get some badass gear, jump into the dark zone shortly after and demolish some people!
