Jessica Jones

Not all Netflix originals are awesome, but the Daredevil could certainly be argued to be in that category.  Jessica Jones stars Breaking Bad‘s Krysten Ritter.

Based on Red/Grymm’s impressions, “Narcos” is also all that and a bag of chips.

Narcos was good, but my fave is still House of Cards Season 1. Definitely the one that put all originals on the map.

Good to hear about Narcos. Look forward to it.
Since the topic of Originals has shown up, here is a list, present and future.

      And someone’s ranking, Top 10.

Netflix wins my devotion for this in 2016: “Danger Mouse (All territories except Germany, France, UK and Ireland)”. Also a new Pee-Wee Herman movie?

Okay, they might officially be nostalgia terrorists.

Very OT – I have come across some really interesting research/articles lately.
    1. On racism/community etc “anarcho-capitalists” article. EDIT: I learned a new term (phyle WIKIPEDIA) in that article, which explains the phenomenon in the middle east where a single community is developing that shows no regard for established political borders (or life, for that matter)), and that is what I took away from the original article. (Thank you, Herandar)

The Rise of the Culture of Victimhood.

On the state of our Universities

Ah, anarcho-capitalists… They think that just because there is a free market in their utopian dreams, humanity will be better than it is. Sorry, guys, but your utopia isn’t any more feasible than the communist ideal. Sure, it can work on a small scale. Fabulously well, even, if all members of the phyle are true believers. But it won’t work with the masses. Get rid of the current institutions and new ones will rise up. America doesn’t have royalty, we created Hollywood instead.

I’m not a fan of the Federal Government, but corporations are even worse. And NASA still has a better track record than private aerospace.

      Herandar (and Everyone else),

Thanks for the commentary. Yeah, the phyle article turned out to be much less than I had thought. I apologize for the recommendation. The videos and the article on Victimhood I had completely consumed and find the ideas at least interesting to think about, if not relevant and true. The phyle article, I was still only just a couple of paragraphs in. I didn’t realize how far the guy pushes the capitalism stuff until after I had included it in the comment. It was the initial analogy/explanation for the situation in the middle east that I lured me in. I have to be more careful. I won’t delete it now but I will change my original comment to reflect the nature of the content. Again, my apologies.

Hey, I think it is an interesting theory, but in my experience the proponents tend to be rich guys that really don’t want to pay taxes and don’t really care about other people. Romanticize the freedom of the American Old West and don’t pay attention to the brutal killings. Also, it reminds me of the battle for the Ark on Brink. 😀

I only read the article because I don’t have Wi-Fi where I’m spending my nights. I’ll watch them one of these days.
