The Cheating-est Team

September 8, 2015
by

The league office lifer, then 49 years old, had been commissioner just 18 months, promoted, in part, because of Kraft’s support. His audience wanted to know why he had managed his first crisis in a manner at once hasty and strangely secretive. Goodell had imposed a $500,000 fine on Belichick, a $250,000 fine on the team and the loss of a first-round draft pick just four days after league security officials had caught the Patriots and before he’d even sent a team of investigators to Foxborough, Massachusetts. Those investigators hadn’t come up empty: Inside a room accessible only to Belichick and a few others, they found a library of scouting material containing videotapes of opponents’ signals, with detailed notes matching signals to plays for many teams going back seven seasons. Among them were handwritten diagrams of the defensive signals of the Pittsburgh Steelers, including the notes used in the January 2002 AFC Championship Game won by the Patriots 24-17. Yet almost as quickly as the tapes and notes were found, they were destroyed, on Goodell’s orders: League executives stomped the tapes into pieces and shredded the papers inside a Gillette Stadium conference room.  ESPN  not going to let Deflategate just disappear, or Spygate for that matter.  The whole article is a great read!

It disgusts me how parents can look their kids in the eye and use this cheating ass team as a representation of integrity. I don’t give a crap if your a Pats fan. Cheating is cheating; plain and simple. Goodell should be replaced as commissioner as far as I’m concerned because he’s in bed with Kraft. David Stern was responsible for a lot of shady crap in the NBA, but protecting cheaters he didn’t do.

Bellichick instituted a systematic ideology of cheating with that organization. I cannot believe that the other thirty-two owners aren’t raising hell over these blatant cheating issues. It’s no longer alleged cheating. It’s been substantiated for crying aloud. The question is will Bellichick & Brady be banned from the NFL Hall of Fame? Highly doubtful. They’re going to welcome those mofos with open arms. Utterly disgusting.

I don’t see Stern in better light IMO. He minimized the impact of referees betting and fixing games.

He used his executive muscle to veto the Chris Paul trade for no reason at all. Not to mention the league ran the NO team for a while and obviously had leverage in everything.

Some even speculate Draft Picks are too convenient. Like Anthony Davis, etc.

Unfortunately when the games get this big, a scheme to influence it in any way will always be present.

    OT:

For The Destiny BS Fan Club, Massive Destiny 2.0 Update is up, around 18gb. Changes the game regardless you buy the DLC or not. Has a preview of the new playlists and maps for everyone.

Will not play it this week still have tons of games to finish.

Wolfenstein: New Order was a great SP to finish. Very adult and Brutal. Was a bit weak near the end but still a must. Nazi Shooter itch definitely cured.

Finished Ryse. I still wonder how many days they spent on Breasts that jiggle. Liked it but not loved it. Will do Co-op soon.

Played some CoD: Advanced Warfare grapple playlist and it’s a blast, not sure if it’s DLC tied. You have a grappling hook like in Just Cause 2/Dying Light.

You can pretty much cut down the map very quickly, very fun. Something I woukd go back to after Black Ops 3.

GTA V has new stuff on the way, and they added a lot of inventory items. I prepped my houses and vehicles to farm the last heist will be grinding that at some point in the fall to get my last few favorite vehicles.

Borderlands 2 matchmaking is broken. Wouldn’t suggest it until they fix it. Game is still fun and the pre sequel preps for Borderlands 3.

Finished Battlefield: Hardline it has a nice plot twist half way. Not an awesome SP but it’s enjoyable. You unlock packs for MP for playing it. Game is on sale right now.

Batman DLC not worth it. Finished Batgirl and is short, etc. Should have waited for a complete edition next year. Never finished the plus.

Payday 2, they finally fixed the servers but the new missions take a long time to do. Will go back once the fall games quiet down.

They added more stuff to Diablo 3 haven’t gone back to it yet.

Anyways sorry to dump this here, but will probably not chat with you guys until Halo 5. Going to be either squeezing time to clear my backlog of games or spending time in Destiny.

    Until the next. 👍🏻

    Thanks for the comments, Guys!

    OT (of my own)

Cornie and I continue to play an hour or two of Gears MP every night. Last night, it finally clicked for him. He said he no longer needs warm up time to get his shotgun on. Of course, it took me until our last match to get mine “working”, but work it did 17 kills plus all the other gravy. We didn’t lose a single match, and my win/loss is finally recovering from a horrible start with randoms etc.. I am absolutely loving KoTH. Of course, Execution just doesn’t work for 2+randoms, so we have little choice if we are going to have an enjoyable experience. I have noticed that most of y’all are rockin’ a team of four most of the time. I can just imagine your Win/Loss ratios!

There is no other game like it. Seriously, the intensity, adrenaline, it can’t be good for our health, can it? I have started doing runs of push-ups after matches, and they fly off my arms and chest like water off a duck’s back. Ain’t no thang. If I had an exercise bike in the man cave, I could bring that motionless cycle up to 60mph at maximum friction settings.

Since the Pats are boring and this is quite literally old news, guess I’ll share OT as well:

Not going to be on much for a while ETA unknown. Ultra-short story version: Mold in my house, so my family has moved into a trailer that my parent’s own nearby. There is no internet or cable there. I work from my home, and have to have internet for that, so I will be at my home during the days. Also coaching youth soccer, and my wife is working most afternoons, so I have to shepherd my kids to dance classes, golf lessons, soccer practices, and Cub Scouts. But that stuff is why I gamed at night before we left our house.

Herandar, so sorry to hear about your housing situation. We are actually dealing with mold in our house (and towels) right now, too, though it must not be as bad. It is an on-going battle, actually. Anyway, sorry to hear that. Take care and you know where to find us when you get back online, and have the opportunity to game again.

My body is ready for the upcoming update.

    • September 10, 2015 3:54 pm

Also Hill Rotations have been adjusted on Several Maps in GOW

    • September 10, 2015 6:04 pm

Yes, Cornie and I noticed last night. It was quite funny actually. On Tyro Station, both teams rushed down to nades, only to stand there looking blankly at each other while the hill spawned above us on the tracks.

And thanks for the heads up on the update. I am excitedly afraid, or afraid to get my hopes up, or…well, ready to put on my asbestos suit and walk through the fire to the other side. Hopefully, they won’t break party chat or matchmaking. All the rest we can deal with until they get the bugs worked out.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/12/sports/football/another-patriots-rumpus-as-steelers-headsets-malfunction-in-nfl-opener.html

The Pats make a mockery of the NFL and its commissioner, team owners, and all the players.
