What the fuck? The way this reads to me, it’s written for people that are driving home drunk. Never answer a cop’s question? If your answer is ‘I had two cherry cokes and a water, Officer.’ in what delusional twisted world-view is not answering the better option? Monochromatically painting all police officers as antagonistic tools of an oppressive regime is part of the problem.

Of course, I have been blessed to be a white man despite my non-white genetics and ‘ethnic’ name.

No intention of offending anyone with this.

    Be polite
    Be respectful
    Keep your hands visible

    Lie or give false documents
    Argue, resist, flee, or obstruct

“You may legally video and audio record a police officer performing official duties while in public

    “You may not
Interfere with the officiers’ duty (e.g., if the officer says “Stand back”, do so.)
physically resist if the officer reaches for your device, do not resist, just report it.

Right there, most of the recent deaths or major news stories involving police officers might have been avoided!

So, this isn’t just about the police being overbearing, stepping beyond their legal rights. This is about citizens behaving more appropriately in their presence.

There is such a thing as a few bad apples spoiling the bunch.

And yes, there is such a thing as profiling.
