Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham Knight goes next gen. Bad. Ass.
There is also some Black Ops III footage up now. I wouldn’t include this except I know that there are a bunch of people who still buy CoD games – and this one is actually looking to bring a little something new to the table. Game Informer got hands on.
WTF did I just watch?!? Chappie? Way to ruin a great Rolling Stones song on that ridiculous trailer. GTFOOHWTBS
Man, wordpress makes a hobby of losing my posts mid text (should have written in an editor first).
Batman looks amazing.
Didn’t really have a reaction to COD. Was hoping for different setting than future/modern.
The Dark Knight. Nuff said.
Nah, I can’t contain my anticipation & enthusiasm for the last Rock Steady Arkham Batman game. This one is going to be truly epic considering this third game of the trilogy will be their magnus opus. The only thing that has me a bit worried are the inclusion of so many of Batman’s sidekicks/allies. I have trust in Rock Steady. This one is a day one purchase without any question. Just take my money!!!
This was the first video I watched of the game and I was blown away. I played much/most? of the first game and really enjoyed it – especially the Scarecrow sequences. Some of the most memorable moments in gaming. I also spent a lot of time watching Tim and his brothers play it on insane. Rocksteady and that animated series of the 90s. They respect the canon, and love them some Batman.
6 month DLC guarentee… with no DLC plans yet announced.
40$ should get you more than 6 months DLC after release IMO. Heck, the game itself could likely be 40$ by that time.
As regards “premium DLC, it was originally maps sold long after the game had been out. It felt like the developers had done all they could to give the customer everything they had. But, since the customers liked the game so much, they decided to make a couple more maps (and sell them) but for the purpose of supporting the community, and to make a little more money on the side.
Now, “DLC” is a way of making a $60 game, $100. It is perfectly, and without justification, a price hike. A 66% increase in price for sight-unseen, unannounced, add-on (i.e., unnecessary) content. Gamers need to just step back from their passions and think about what they are doing when they pull the trigger.
Thanks for the heads-up, Zos.
Agreed, Suns. I, for one, was never too fond of the challenge maps. It didn’t provide that much value that I had to have them regardless of my love for TDK/Arkham Batman franchise. Heck, I never even played Arkham Batman: Origins because it came at the tail end of the previous console generation. Back on point though, if it’s for single-player content; I’m your huckleberry.
BTW: I think I’m going to try to go to this year’s E3. I’m not working during E3 week!
@blank You really should check out Batman Arkham Origins! I cant tell you how low my expectations were going into that game, but I actually enjoyed it. Dont get me wrong, it’s no where near the caliber of Asylum and City, but its definitely worth a play through!
Oh, I do plan to eventually get around to playing Origins, RoBBins. The only problem is that my XB1’s games backlog is starting to grow. Embarrassment of riches, right?
LOL. Definitely wouldn’t call that a bad thing 😉
Play a real game like BF4
That’s right, Jimmy! That’s why we’re playing Evolve and Destiny. Well, some of us are…
oh baby Black Ops 3 just obliterated the Exosuits from AW. Day 1 for sure. Can’t wait for their version of zombies.
I am always hesitant of buying Batman on release, last gen they were the notorious “Price drop” games once the ink just dried up from the rave reviews. But I love the side kicks and I love Challenge maps. I don’t mind buying the game and pass if it’s high quality.
