R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy

February 27, 2015

Funny, ironically, of all the talented actors that have passed, this was the first time such news affected me emotionally. I didn’t realize that I always assumed I would see him on screen again, even though I didn’t want any more Star Trek movies. In a sense, it isn’t the end of a life, but the end of an entire race. Far more so than will be the passing of Shatner, for me, this is truly the end of an era.

Wow, kind of stunned that Nimoy is gone. 😦 It’s amazing how he transcended into this generation’s entertainment when he helped define our generation’s science fiction & pop culture (Suns, Kenai, & mine). He was and still is an icon.

Thank you for posting. I didn’t know he was Jewish. I like him even more now. And for that I will invoke the blessing. “May the Lord bless and keep you. May the Lord protect you. May his face shine upon you and give you peace.” And may you live long and prosper.

Leonard Nimoy’s final tweet just a few days before he passed: “A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP”
