Mad Max: Fury Road

July 27, 2014

The Road Warrior, as it was titled in North America, wasn’t a feel good movie.  It was a brutal exercise in nihilism.  It was, however, highly influential and viewers were entertainedHappy Feet 1 and 2 director George Miller, who made the first three Mad Max movies, picks up the reins again to bring us a fourth.  Whether it is a sequel, or just another adventure in Max’s desolate life, is as irrelevant as it is unclear. This a modern day chariot race for water, gasoline, and the pleasure of bloodletting.  That’s all.  The trailer actually made me wince.  Oh, and Fury Road has more beautiful women than a Bond movie.  While easy on the eyes, they are as distracting and inappropriate as a fart in a buffet line.

For those who cannot wait until May 2015 for a film fix, feel free to check out Guardians of the Galaxy.  According to Harry, “everything about this film kicks AVENGERS’ teeth in.”  Trailer after the jump.

Anything with Tom Hardy in it is a must see. Charlize Theron is always nice to look at as well 😉

This is actually the first in a new trilogy being done by Miller. It’s just more stories in Max’s life as I understand it. The next one is titled, Mad Max: Furiosa. The next two films will be done back to back. Either way, SUPER excited about this one.
