What’s On TV?

Season 2 of House of Cards drops onto Netflix, in its entirety, on Valentine’s Day. Now, normally, that would be the day we are all meeting online to play Titanfall, but apparently, that date was just a rumor, so score some points with the ladies and pull a TV marathon. We’ll catch up with the Titans after they fall. The trailer below is from Season 1 so as not to spoil the upcoming episodes.

Second, Amazon is getting in on the original programming, and amongst the pile of shows for which they are offering free pilots, is Bosch, a show written by Eric Overmyer who played a significant writer’s role in the The Wire – the best TV ever made. To my great surprise, the opening scene even features Jamie Hector, or as we know him Marlo Stanfield.
And BETAS which might or might not be entertaining.

OK, I watched the Pilot for Bosch and it was so-so. It definitely was no Wire. In fact, Tom Selleck’s Jesse Stone series beats it in every category. 😦 Too bad.

The only thing worse than television is binge-watching entire seasons of television at a time.
Sorry… I try to follow the rules from Bambi, but I abhor when my wife or brother do this.

Ha ha! That is the only way I like to watch TV! Furthermore, since we can now do this easily, I no longer get excited about movies. 2 to 3 hours doesn’t provide adequate time for character development. If it is a good series, like Breaking Bad, The Wire etc. etc. then watching a whole season at a time is tremendous fun!
