Zen Pencils and Others

December 6, 2013

Via Dubious Quality, I came across a couple of cool sites. First, Zen Pencils, a site run by a former graphic artist who decided to make comics of famous quotes, including Mark Twain’s opinion of travel, and John Green’s advice to Make Gifts For People. John Green, by the way, is the creator of the CrashCourse YouTube history lessons – so one could say that the dude practices what he preaches (great stuff!). Zen Pencils site visitors are encouraged to submit a quote for the inspiration of upcoming comics. I think what I like as much as the comics themselves is the fact that Gavin Aung Than is making a living doing something he loves.

And, when you need a break from those, check out the 50 States of America Stereotypes done in Lego.

And for rED and Grymm, there is this (hint: it is about hockey).

Great post Suns! Went to all the links. Loved the Mark Twain comic the most though. Very cool art form. Also loved the Make gifts for people too.

Not for power or money. But for the gift itself.

Hope to see you on this weekend. We’ll discuss all things Xbox One, and Battlefield, while we play some Payday or BF3. or dare I say a little Gears 3? Horde!
