    SWAYING TREES!!!!!

For real though, this new Frostbite looks so effin’ beautiful. So many colors…

It must be one of the best engines out there. Some others might be slightly prettier, but they don’t have the opportunity for particle destruction etc. The crumpling of the jet on the aircraft carrier, and then the waves on the ocean absolutely sold it for me. It is breathtaking, and for anyone playing on a 60 inch+ screen, who suffers from motion sickness, you are gonna be lookin’ for a rail to puke over. LOL Love the waves!

Looks absolutely awesome. I can’t believe BF4 is a launch title haha. Seriously though, Infinite Ward must be absolutely embarrassed about their “engine” showing. I know it is still very early, but at least in terms of first impressions, Frostbite is producing 10x the scale and much higher visual fidelity.

I think Epic still has a lot to prove with their engine as well. Their absence (almost entirely) from E3 was very strange.

Rumors of Source 2 in the future, that could be another game changer.

Source 2 – I will believe it when it actually appears. I guess Valve could just buy DICE and then change the name from Frostbite 3 to Source 2. Have to give them credit though, back in the day, I was blown away by Source, and Titanfall may as well be done on “Source 2” for all the modifying that must have taken place. It looks very cool. Would have been even crazier if it had been developed on Frostbite, though.

If Source 2 doesn’t come out this gen, Valve missed the boat. I think they need to, if not just for their internal games alone. But who knows what the hecks going on over at Valve.

It is every bit as “reality distorting” over there as it ever has been at Apple, for better and for worse. I don’t have any expectations of Valve making hardware, but I was mildly surprised by their brazen lack of announcement of anything regarding the “living room PC”. They are so unreliable as to be rightly called producers of vapor, …until their products are actually released.

Er, not sure if you’re joking about Valve “buying” DICE, Suns. EA owns DICE & there’s no way they’re selling that studio.

As far as Source 2 coming out, I’m with you abouts its realization. Talk is very cheap when it comes out of Valve’s mouth.

I was being serious in that Valve buys their software these days. That IS their modus operandi. I was joking about them actually acquiring DICE. Cheers!

In this video, LC discusses the ways in which BF4 is fundamentally different from BF3. They discuss the impact of increasing the members in the squad to 5, the new perk system which is leveled up by squad score rather than # of kills, spectator mode and the Battlerecorder (PC only?), the increase in difficulty for flying vehicles, an AWESOME knife kill at 13:09.
