I Grok: Rising Storm

June 1, 2013

Holy crap guys. If you’ve got a PC, you need to hop on the disgustingly brutal title, Rising Storm. Set in World War II in the Pacific theatre, this ridiculously authentic game (in terms of sounds and even maps), is a solid shooter. If The Stranded go PC, it’s another great title to play alongside Natural Selection 2. Simply amazing. Impressions here. And even though it’s built on UE3, it runs great. 64-player matches of chaos. Simply beautiful!

Looks pretty good. How much is it?

Btw, when is DayZ coming out?

Day Z is scheduled for an Alpha release in June. Which we are in. So, we’ll see. They never said what day of the month, specifically. For Rising Storm, twenty bucks nets you the game and the MP version of Red Orchestra 2 – http://store.steampowered.com/app/234510/

If you want SP for the original game, which includes co-op, it’s another twenty bucks. However, if you buy Red Orchestra 2 first, I believe there’s a 30% discount or something like that. Only do that if you want to play the co-op. We could do that together and it’d be more forgiving. I got Rising Storm for $12.00 USD as I preordered and had the discount because I owned Red Orchestra 2. Let me know if you get it!
