Saw this last night and I immediately forced my wife to watch it. Those zombies are literally climbing over each other like locusts! And to think that Zack Snyder’s running zombies in his remake of Dawn of the Dead were scary! WWZ looks to be amazing.

Yes at the Zombies and WOOT at Brad Pitt – Tyler Durden (Fight Club) and Mickey (Snatch). The potential is enormous!

The aggressiveness of the zombies is awesome. Forming zombie ladders and whatnot. But they look so CGI fake that it pretty much kills it for me

Well, it’s not due out until June ’13, so that’s a lot of time for polish. I doubt they would release something that lacked CGI realism. Not only that, but I don’t think that Pitt would allow himself to be associated with something that was subpar.

Holy Shhh…. Yeah this obliterates the past good zombie movies, well at least the trailer.

…Different as in a big piece of shit.

I can understand how hardcore zombie movie lovers would have a problem with this, just as they did with 28 Days (when Zombies suddenly started moving faster). However, I don’t think I have ever watched a whole zombie movie, so I can jump in anytime and enjoy this stuff. (The CGI does look bad, but the concept looks totally awesome to my uneducated eyes.)

Suns, please tell me you’ve seen Zombieland all the way through. If not, then I know what I’m gonna send you for Christmas this year.

      Rule #2: Double tap ๐Ÿ˜€

Ha ha Let me rephrase, I haven’t seen the “canon” Zombie movies by Romero or even 28 Days. The light and fluffy stuff like Zombieland and I Am Legend I have seen.

      Zombieland is an outstanding flick!

      Rule #1: Cardio ๐Ÿ˜€

Even though Romero is essentially the “father” of the zombie genre, his flicks were overrated IMO granted that he was ahead of his time. I can’t believe you haven’t seen 28 Days Later, Mike. That was a very good flick & is a must-see. The need for survival couldn’t have been done any better, especially when survivors that have teamed up for several months suddenly get bitten; their demise is brutal.

When you see a European city devoid of people, you think about the magnitude of work that had to take place to coordinate such a feat, as in terms of actual production. Those were not simple feats & they weren’t accomplished by CGI. That alone is something to marvel on. Don’t even bother with its piss poor sequel, 28 Weeks Later.

Thanks for the info, Kenny. Hey, I also saw Shawn of the Dead. Lots of fun! Again, all the “un”classics. lol

Suns, if you haven’t read the Novella of I am Legend, check it out. Amazing. Depressing, but hardcore and amazing!

Fast Zombies are fine. 28 days/weeks later were both great. This movie just looks like absolute garbage. A hollywood cash-in from people who aren’t basing it much off the actual story. Good thread about it over @ EvAv. This just looks like garbage. Pure and simple.
