Warning: quite spoilery. I would have enjoyed Iron Man 2 a little more if I hadn’t seen the trailer. I suspect this is the same.

I’d take over for Tony any day.

RDJ said that this was the best script that he’s read in a long time. I hope that he’s not in spin mode to drum up perceived hype for this film. After all, Iron Man 2 couldn’t hold a candle to the first film.

I hadn’t heard anything about it except that it was the last one for RDJ, and this kind of wraps it up nicely. IM2 was a huge disappointment after the first film, but rewatching it a couple of weeks ago I found that it was less awful than I had remembered. I think I was just so greatly disappointed after the brilliance of the first film.

Anyway, glad to hear that the script is solid. I like the idea of a telekinetic suit. (Haven’t read the comics so everything is new to me.)

I think 1 had a better build up, but some of the action sequences were too brief. 2 was way too much action sequences (which were great) not enough build up, good dialogue, or enough dramatic moments. (Kind of how I feel about Avengers, except they have action sequences on steroids for that one).

3 seems to be the dramatic and dark one. Trailer seems to echo The Dark Knight Rises. If that’s where it is going then I will definitely like it a lot.
