NHL 13 “Our Game”

September 3, 2012

We are waiting for confirmation that NHL 13 will continue the region-free trend started last year by rED’s forum protest. Once confirmed, Johann plans to go ahead and order it. I don’t like this idea of annual software, but this version offers adjustable difficulty for online play, and that makes this year’s game worth it. I have a question though, can two people can play “split-screen” and take that game online? That would be a huge boon for us. Last week, the boys had four of them playing a single-disc local game.

By the way, for those who might not have realized, Borderlands 2 is offering split-screen online play.

In years past, you could take up to 4 from one box and play against one other xbox online.

But this year they are introducing a new online mode so I’ll let you know when I try it whether or not you can bring split-screen online

To clarify, in Borderlands 2, a split-screen game can host two other online players, but they can not join someone else’s game. My brother and I are only getting one copy.

very disappointed/angry/dumbfounded. Sorry you guys will miss out this year, but that’s more money in your pocket for next year’s game and/or next gen hardware

I’m still sad and upset about this. The number one thing I want for the next gen console is NO REGION CODING/IP FILTERING.

Saw a post on their official forums by a person living in Korea asking what the deal was about region coding. Multiple people commented saying that they were in the same boat and couldnt give EA their money and how it made no sense. A community manager from EA later posted in it and pretty much said it was intentional, then closed the thread
