BF3 and Generation Kill

August 29, 2012

This is probably the reason I didn’t hate, but contrarily, have quite enjoyed the BF3 campaign. What people don’t understand is that most of the time, war doesn’t have, or make, a story.  It is a compilation of often random and usually terrible activities done almost always for stupid reasons (see War is a Racket).  The “flow” of the BF3 campaign reflects that reality, and its aping of Generation Kill is deliberate and obvious.

O.T. (but of the similar top-caliber television) Breaking Bad continues to get harder and harder to watch, but I am in awe of the storytelling and production values.
