In a shocking development, L4D2’s much delayed DLC is… delayed. Luckily, Valve gave no expected ETA it should be arriving next week.  What they did give is the price you will have to pay. 7$ Price of Entry Folks.

If i wasn’t such a sucker, i would totally call BS on this.

Maybe this is some really clever ploy from Valve to trick M$ into giving the DLC away for free? (NAH)

Thanks for the heads-up, Zos. 7 dollars is what I was expecting. I will be buying it whenever it is that the release it. They should not have waited until the deadline had passed to tell us the release was delayed a week.

I agree with you Suns, but the delay is probably due to the certification process. The problem you have playing on a closed system like the xbox, Expensive patches/updates for the devs after the first update.

So, “next week” has come and gone and there is no listing of Cold Stream DLC on the Xbox website. I will try tomorrow to see if I can find it via in-game. UDPATE – its still not there. Try again next week.

In the meantime, I had an insight. Valve’s sales practices are like DRM. The only customers paying for their DLC are those from the console, and yet they almost go out of their way to treat us disrespectfully.

Ok, so according to Joystiq, Valve is releasing the DLC this Friday.

I wonder if Valve can see me grabbing and lifting my nutsack with one hand and flipping them the bird with the other.

I’ll still buy it, I just won’t do so happily. They are a bunch of lazy assholes.

“I’ll still buy it, I just won’t do so happily.” And that, right there is the problem with the gaming industry.

I haven’t bought Battlefield Premium and I’m not sure that I will at this point. (I like what I have seen of Armored Kill, but I might just buy that by itself.) I’m not opposed to DLC, and I’ve definitely been loving the Borderlands DLC lately. I just find EA’s metamorphosis into EActivision a bit hard to swallow.
