Chronicle
January 26, 2012
Having just rewatched it again recently, I can say for certain that my favorite comic book-superhero movie is Unbreakable. The mood (i.e., horror) of Chronicle dictates that it will never attain the level of the unassertive Bruce Willis/Samuel L. Jackson classic, but it does look like a cool and somewhat original addition to the super power genre.
“Three high school friends gain superpowers after making an incredible discovery. Soon, though, they find their lives spinning out of control and their bond tested as they embrace their darker sides.” Coming early February.

Im so pumped to see this movie. Been wanting to check it out ever since the trailer was first released. Also gonna check out ‘Man on a Ledge’ or whatever its called tomorrow. Got a few movie gift cards for the birthday so Im set for a few movies now!
You mean, this?
Thanks for the heads-up, RoBBins! Elizabeth Banks ROCKS!
And happy birthday in advance.
Chronicle has definitely piqued my interest.
Ty, you never did tell us what you thought of The Thing (2011). Tell us here, or on your blog (will link it back). Wanna know!
Bleh. This movie doesn’t seem much. Almost like the regular youtube video of teenagers playing with Adobe After Effects and green screens. Plus with a PG-13 rating this ensures the “Darkness” they talk about is too light to be horror by any means.
This just plays like “The Craft” except without hot goth chicks, and even that was “R” rated.
ha ha ha Frenik!
So far, the tomatoes are fresh!

Might be best promo ever for a movie
Well, it’s getting better reviews than Man on a ledge and The Grey. I already saw Underworld, so I am not too keen on a FX heavy movie, I am going to see Haywire for some a-kicking.
